Course Description: 
This two hour training session will cover the basics of the MUTCD, teaching participants how to effectively understand and utilize the manual.

Course Instructor: 
Wilma Magyar is currently the instructor for the South Carolina Department of Transportation Work Zone Training Program. She is primarily responsible for the development of course materials currently used for SCDOT maintenance and construction personnel in work zone training. She is a certified ATSSA Work Zone Traffic Control and Flagging Instructor, Certified OSHA 10 Hour Road Way Construction Instructor, SC National Safety Council Instructor for First Aid/CPR/AED as well as conducting job site and traffic control assessments throughout the southeast and internationally. She has extensive background in safety, risk management, compliance and loss control management.  Previously, Ms. Magyar was the Safety and Risk Manager for Wilbur Smith & Associates where she was responsible for developing and implementing safety and quality assessment programs in pre-planning through construction phases targeting overall project efficiency and minimizing worker’s compensation claims.

Class registration is from 9:30-10:00. The class will begin at 10:00, we should adjourn around noon at which point a light lunch will be provided.

Who Should Attend: 
This course is suited for all county, city, and utility personnel who utilize the MUTCD.  Please note that this class is not for DOT employees. 

Course Fee:

The registration fee for the workshop is $75.00 per person. All South Carolina city and county employees receive a LTAP scholarship registration fee of $35.00. The fee includes course materials, break refreshments, and the noon luncheon.

Payment Policy:

Payment must be received no later than 2 business days prior to the workshop.  If your registration payment is not received by then, you will not be guaranteed your slot in the class.

Cancellation Policy:

If you do not cancel before the 72 hour deadline your registration fee will not be refunded. You may send a substitute in your place, provided that you inform us of the substitute’s name no later than 24 hours before the training.  No-shows will not have their registration fee refunded.
